I need an advice. I want to simulate the effects of laser ablation. The target is transparent substrate like acetate, PET, kapton that is covered with ablatant (like Aluminium), where laser is pointed to. The process takes place in vacuum if possible. I also want to apply surface texturing techniques (similar to the solar cell technology) to both ablatant and substrate and measure the effects (force, direction) of the plasma that is generated when ablatant is targeted with laser. Is Comsol enough for experiments of this kind, or I have to use another tool?
