Hi,
I am trying to simulate the temperature distribution in a regular plug flow reactor. For that, I defined a 2D-axisymmetric dimention where you have a simple geometry for half of a tube where the tube thickness is not included (just a line is the surface or the boundary of tube). I added the laminar flow with an inlet velocity of 2.4 m/s from the top for N2 gas and the outlet from the bottom. The heat transfer in Fluid is also added where I am trying to see how N2 heats up. The wall (or boundary line) is defined as Temperature (500C).
So I beleive these boundary condition should be enough to define the problem of heating N2 gas in this tube trhough convection from the wall at 500C to the flowing gas inside the tube, I do not get any heating in the gas and it makes no sense. Here I attached the model which is very simple for you to see. I even tried to add a general inward heat flux to the model but I do not know the overall heat transfer coefficient,
Please let me know if you have any hints for me,
