Joule heating with different materials

Hello,

I am very new to COMSOL and I was wondering if you could help me a bit modelling the following problem. I am trying to make a 2D model with four different materials: two conductors, one semiconductor and one insulator. There is an insulating material between the two conductors and a very small current (in the order of microAmps) flows from one conductor to another through the semiconductor material. I am expecting the semiconductor material to heat up substantially and I was wondering if you could give me a helping hand about how to start modelling this. I wonder if this is only a Joule heating problem or perhaps there are other physics involved. I followed the tutorial on how to do Joule heating for one material but, what about multiple materials? What are the boundary conditions?. I attached a picture with a schematic, I hope it helps understanding the problem.

Thank you very much for your help!

Carlos
