Distance Between the Model and PML

Hi,

Is there any rule of thumb or minimum value for the distance in wavelength between perfect matched layer (PML) and the model for antenna simulations? I experienced that the size of spherical PML has a considerable effect on S11 values. But I couldn't find a criteria for it in the documents and the Internet.
