Pulsed laser heating

Dear colleagues,

Recently I am trying to simualte the temperature of pulsed laser heating. It is a multilayer structure, and we need to consider reflection and transmission betweeen different layers, so Beer-Lambert Law model and surface heat source model may not be available. I try to chose the Ray heating with heat transfer in solid and want to get the temperature Vs time. For the laser beam, it is a rectangular function, which exists only between specified times, for example: exist in 0~3.75 ms, and stop in 3.75~7.5 ms. I try to define the laser power as time-dependent in ray heating source, however, the temperature keeps on increasing with the increasing time. How I can set a pulsed ray source in the geometrical optics node and get the time-dependent temperature?
