I created wave guide polarizer, which can make TE pass/TM absorp, but I don't know how to set TE and TM mode, as is shown in following picture, I exite TE in this way, I'm not sure I'm correct, anyone can give me some ideas? In addition, I want know how to caculate ER ER=10log10(PTE/TM), PTE and PTM are the normalized output power for the TE mode and the TM mode，how can I evaluate PTE and PTM, is it S21(dB)?!
