Increasing heat flux due to structural deformation

I am trying to model an object that is thermally expanding due to a temperature change. However, as the geometry deforms, the heat flux (which is causing the temperature change) increases because the deformed object is now closer to the heat source (which itself is fixed). Is it possible to take a resulting deformation after a certain time interval and then use that value to calculate a new value for the heat flux?

Thanks in advance.
