How to get the derivative of a specific coordinate point?

I defined a piecewise function VFUNC as a variable. When calculating this function, I need to use the derivative of the specific coordinate X0 (the piecewise position). How should this specific point be represented? I can't get the derivative of a specific point with d (x, y).
