Rainfall induced air flow in the subsurface soil

Hi, I am trying to simulate the rainfall induced air flow in the subsurface soil. I have used the 1) two darcy's law model and 2) multiphase flow in the porous media model according to the examples of "Two-Phase Flow in Column" and "Two-Phase Flow over a Low Permeable Lens", however, it doesn't work. In both examples, it is that the non-wetting fluid intrudes the wetting fluid, however, for the rainfall induced air flow, it is inverse. In addition, for the darcy's law model, in the "Two-Phase Flow in Column", the author used storage model and mass source to simulate the unsaturated flow. To verify this, I tried to simulate the unsaturated flow in the same fashion and compared the results with Richard's equation model. The results were totally different. Does anyone have idea about this problem? Thank you very much Sincerely Enze
